The Perfect Coffee Substitute
Here at LivBar we love a good cup of coffee, but sometimes it's nice to switch up our morning brew with something different. Lately we have been loving iced matcha lattes, and this recipe hits the spot!
So what is matcha? Matcha is green tea leaves in powdered form, and the word matcha literally means "powdered tea". Matcha provides a lot of added nutrients since you're consuming the entire tea leaf as opposed to traditional steeped green tea. Matcha provides numerous health benefits such as: improving brain function, chronic inflammation, and even helping heart health! This is one of the many reasons why we use matcha in our Vegan Lemongrass Cherry Matcha LivBar.
This recipe was made with raw honey and vanilla to compliment the bold flavor matcha brings to the table. It's a refined sugar-free and dairy-free drink that is perfect for summer mornings - or afternoons! If you're a matcha fan, this slightly sweet latte is for you!
