Reinventing the Classic Valentine's Treat
Ah - Valentine's Day, the holiday where we show our loved ones a little extra love, usually with a sugar-filled, heart-shaped box of chocolates. Don't get us wrong, we love a good box of chocolates, but this year we wanted to reinvent this classic treat for the ultimate homemade surprise.
We took our beloved Raspberry Kale Maca LivBar and dipped it into a pool of melted vegan chocolate to create a one-of-a-kind twist on a candy bar. We used Eating Evolved's Signature Dark Chocolate Bar because it is dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, refined-sugar free, and simply tastes amazing.
So why not get a little creative with your choice of chocolates this year? We encourage you to try opting for a healthier surprise for that special someone - or - if there is no 'special someone', just remember that means more for yourself, which we highly encourage, too.
Homemade Valentine's Day Chocolates
We took our beloved Raspberry Kale Maca LivBar and dipped it into a pool of melted vegan chocolate to create a one-of-a-kind twist on a candy bar.
2-3 Raspberry Kale Maca LivBars
1 bar of dairy-free chocolate
freeze dried raspberries (optional)
freeze dried strawberries (optional)
hemp seeds (optional)
pumpkin seeds (optional)
bee pollen (optional)
cacao powder (optional)
coconut shreds (optional)
Cut LivBar's in half so you have 4-6 "bars" depending on how many LivBar's you use.
Break apart the chocolate bar in a shallow microwavable bowl and microwave at 20 second intervals, stirring between, until melted.
Dip one side of each LivBar into the chocolate and place on a plate and immediately sprinkle with desired toppings.
Place the bars into the freezer to set, and surprise your loved one (or yourself) with a fun, healthy alternative to a box of chocolates this Valentine's Day!
